Factory rebuilding completed in Ireland
Rettig's new state-of-the-art factory was opened in Ireland in September. It was built to follow an old building destroyed by fire in July 2005.
The new factory was officially opened by Mr Micheál Martin TD, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment and Mr Cyril von Rettig, Chairman of the Rettig Board. The new factory was opened under the name of Rettig Ireland Ltd, but continues to trade under the Myson Controls brand. It represents a EUR 25 million investment in manufacturing in Ireland retaining direct employment for over 100 people and providing a boost to the local economy in Newcastle West, Co. Limerick. Mr Donal O’Grady, Director & Site Manager said. “This is a great day for Rettig Ireland and represents months of dedication and hard work following the fire. It demonstrates our total commitment to the Myson product and our confidence in our employees in Newcastle West.”
The new factory will continue to supply the UK, Irish & global markets with high quality valves and controls for domestic hydronic heating systems. It will follow the Myson Controls tradition of quality, service and product development which has led the company to become a leading heating controls manufacturer in Europe over the past thirty years.
